Closing one Chapter

It has officially come to an end. The Jonas Brothers are no longer a group. What can i say? i am devastated, heart broken, speech less, But with all that i will always be a Jonas fan. Six years of supporting them, they where my first ever concert and the memories will live on forever. From driving all the way to Vegas twice to watch them, seeing them perform numerous of times here in LA whether it was performing at a venue, at the grove, watching their 3D movie or even seeing the softball/soccer games they would have, and my favorite memory ditching school my senior year just to meet Nick. Oh man the trouble i got into the following day, but it was all worth it. The things these boys made their fans do. Just to see them the energy they brought just light up the room, to the tears fans would be in when Nick would perform “A little bit longer,” and the advice, encouragement speech he would deliver along with it. It wasn’t only relating to their music but also some of the amazing people i got to meet a long the way, and for that i am thankful. It is sad to see them coming to an end but they are growing and as they grow your path may change along the way. “Family first,” said Nick, and as fans we need to respect that. However they are giving one last gift to their fans anyone that is a ‘Fan Club Member’ will receive four of the songs that where suppose to be released on the new album. So they will leave us something to remember them by. Keep the memories and cherish them forever, they where part of us growing up, “As you move on in life you have to take the experience with you as a memory and not your reality”-Nick Jonas. They may be over as a band but i know great things are awaiting for each one of them, and i cannot wait to see what they do for the rest of their lives. FOREVER A JONAS FAN. Whether its together or individual.

Three years later, and they still make it feel like the ‘First Time’

It’s been a while since I’ve blogged. Well here i am again trying to keep up with this. So after going to the Jonas Brothers concert in the last week yes i am still into them.

I know i am 21 years old but who cares i grew up listening to them therefore i shall keep supporting them. Any who back to my story, the concert was unbelievable they honestly never seem to disappoint when it comes to putting on a show. They opened up the show with their new hit single “First Time,” and closed the show with one of their old songs “S.O.S” The energy did not drop as Karmin, and DJ Mike Tompkins did an amazing job at getting everyone pumped up before the Jonas bros. took on the stage. I had the time of my life singing at the top of my lungs and frankly it wasn’t because of the alcohol in my system, it felt like i was 15 all over again. You know it’s true the brothers are growing up and it’s nice to see the fans grow with them, although their new sound is more mature, they are still singing about broken hearts, songs to get one dancing, and experience they go through as they are getting older. I can honestly say i am beyond excited for this new album to come out, and are glad to say the boys are back!

Not getting enough of them from the concert i decided to attend their Charity Soccer game this evening. Being a broke college student i decided to make my own press passes to get into the soccer game to cover it. Now i did contact one of the media coordinators their, and i also write for my college newspaper which you guys should check out, Elpaisanoonline.com I got to go on the field for a little while until we got kicked off for not being “Official Press,” to be honest that kind of disappointed me, because i know i am not a prof

essional, but i am trying and just like anyone of them you had to have your start somewhere. The char

ity game benefited the Jonas Brother’s Change For The Children foundation. The game was played against AC United which

consisted of Nick Jonas and other members and Bilbo which consisted of Joe Jonas, Kevin Jonas, Wilmer Valderrama and others. AC United took home the win with a final score of 3-2. Personally i am not a big fan of soccer, but it’s nice to see celebrities come together to benefit a great cause. Congratulations to the Boys! And note to self if you ever want to cover an event as press just act like you are meant to be there covering the event and you will fit right in. I do want to say God bless one of the photographers their who was nice enough to help us get in and i quote said “It doesn’t matter if you are in college or not, they shouldn’t give you a hassle to cover an ev

ent.” Hence he helped us get in (: Overall it was a great week.

Here are some pics enjoy!

He’s Back

After being away from the music industry for six years Justin Timberlake has finally made a return. Timberlake has finally released his third album The 20/20 Experience, and what better way to release an album than with an eight minute music video that celebrates the decade-spaning love story between his grand parents William and Sadie Bomar.

Timberlake’s touching video “Mirrors”  was directed by Floria Sigismondi. The video begins with an elder women with grey hair boxing a man’s belongings with him standing behind her, as in a ghost form, to implicate that he had passed. The real life William who inspired this song/video passed away December 29 of last year after a long battle with heart trouble and dementia.

The video does an amazing job at demonstrating the love his parents had shared for 63 years. And remembering all the thing’s they did. Timberlake could not have picked a better video for the release of his new album. Make sure to check out the rest of his album, Timberlake is back and is doing an incredible job just like always.

It’s a Latin kind of Night

The “Latina” in me has awoken tonight. The “Premio Lo Nuestro” is finally here. Personally i enjoy this award show very much. Hence spanish music is one of my favorite types of music. Just like any other award show, it is filled with music, jokes, tears. This year’s award show made a special honoring to “La Gran Señora” Jenny Rivera may she R.I.P. The best of the best are honored tonight. And may i say their is many talented artist.
Each performer  has their own unique style. I especially loved Pedro Fernandez performance, boy did he do good. And was pleased to see Jesse y Joy take home an award for their song “Corre” Now that’s the song i sing my heart out to and break a few windows too. (Yeah was not granted with a pleasant voice).
This years performers did an amazing job. Their was slow love songs sang, but as well as up beat songs that made you want to get up and dance as Pitbull would say “Dale”, and you can’t go wrong with having “mariachi” their. I loved Loved that they have a variety of performances.

Overall Premio Lo Nuestro was entertaining, defiantly worth 3 hours of my life.
